What does this beat up piece of metal stand for?

I hit the jackpot being born in the middle of nowhere. Because you know what happens in the middle of nowhere? Everything.

I am a crazy quilt of pioneers pushing West and immigrants putting down roots. A cocktail of several religions and a product of parents from opposing political parties. Raised in a progressive environment surrounded by staunch tradition. Nebraska…the middle of it all…made me a mixture of all the things. And I’m really proud of it.

I made this 3ft long photograph of a license plate from my homeland for my photo studio— a message from my roots to my modern day self— STAY CENTERED.
